Adobe Rancho

These three kids and I had an adventure walking around the grounds of my favorite adobe ranch in Carldbad. We visited the peacocks and peahens, and captured some wonderful images along the way.

Poway Train Park

What? Photo sessions can be fun? Sure!
Remember to let your kids show their personalities while at a photo session,
it makes it fun and they are more likely to want to have photos again in the future.

Fun Family!

We were off to the beach on an overcast afternoon...this family is so fun to be with! I mean it you guys...they are so relaxed, just there to have fun, pose here and there, and mom and I chat it up. Mom has decided to take me to Italy with the family next time they go so I can record the trip, their own personal photojournalist :-) Well, don't know that I can spare the time away from my family, but we can dream right!

One more of sweet baby girl...She is 13 days old here.

I love newborns! They are so precious. There is no other word that describes this sweetie better! Her uncle got this dress for in Mexico, so it is a very special gift. This family and much of our local community has been waiting for this littel girl to arrive, and here she is finally. Welcome to the world!

I got to meet and play with this lovely extended family recently. These kids were super charming and fun to be with! As were their parents, grandparents and great-grand parents! Yep, four generations!

Wonderful Family From Arizona

I was so lucky to get the opportunity to have a photo session with this beautiful family! They were here enjoying a short vacation and I feel privileged that they chose me to create some memories with them. I think they look just awesome in their Christmas best!

I couldn't wait to share a favorite from todays session! Well, it is now after midnight, so technically, this was "yesterday's session."

Meet my new neighbor. She is 10 weeks old. Baby sister is loved so much by her two big brothers and parents. She was quite cutious about my camera and me.

Beautiful Beach, Beautiful Family

My favorite part about taking photos at the beach is that feeling I get when I get out of my car and look at the ocean and the sky...I feel as though I am catching a glimpse of Heaven. What a joy to spend the afternoon there with this wonderful family!

One Year Old!

And this cake is delicious! I can't believe it has been a whole year since baby "S' was born. This cutie- pa-tooty is seen here having her first tast of cake, her first real dessert of her life! I think she enjoyed it quite a bit :-)

Playing

I have been trying my hand at something new...studio lights! While studio pictures are not yet an option for clients, my own kids have been thrust in to the role of photography subjects (Guinea pigs!). Well, they are used to mom pulling out the camera and shooting them.

"On the Ball" Family...

I recently had my first 2007 Christmas Family Photo Session...You can bet this family will have a litte less hectic time come Christmas, as their Christmas cards will be ready to go! It was great seeing your family again, especially with big sis in town!

Think Sterling Silver!

Isn't this totally cool?! This is one of my pics on a sterling silver keychain made by a talented jewelry artist, especially for one of my clients. The little ball comes off so you can add your keys. The finish on top of the photo is watertight and hard as glass, making it quite durable. You may want to think about a one of a kind jewelry piece to enjoy as well!

Angelic baby "A"

This is "A", isn't she beautiful?! This precious bundle was so perfectly sweet and cuddly. She and her Mama went along with whatever I had in mind. What a treat to be able to photograph her this morning. Sweet dreams.

What can I say...My favorite model of all time! This one sometimes gives me a little attitude, but her precious heart more than makes up for it.

Big Bro, Little Sis

Fastest feet in the west! This little darling can move...constantly on the go, this fiesty, precious girl stopped for a fraction of a second to have this portrait made. What a delight to play with you and visit with mom. I can't wait for our Christmas session :-)

Fun at the Train Park

This little guy was a blast! He had so much fun exploring the park with his mom and playing peek a boo, I'm not quite sure he knew I was taking his picture! Well, he did know my name by the end of our session, and to hear this two year old say "Bye Shelly" just made my heart melt. His mom was so relaxed and was sweet enough to come dressed to be included in some pictures as well.

Sweet Baby

Here is one of my favorite models. This sweet baby loves to smile, and who can resist theose sqeezable baby cheeks. Here dark hair and eyes are so dramatic. I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to photograph this sweet baby regularly, and have been photographing her since her birth!
